About Adamite Roll

The Adamite Roll offered by INDIA FACTORY is manufactured using premium-grade alloy steel with advanced heat treatment technology to deliver exceptional wear resistance, toughness, and thermal crack resistance for rolling mill applications. Designed for roughing, intermediate, and finishing stands, the Adamite Roll provides uniform hardness, superior strength, and excellent surface performance during hot rolling operations. These rolls are widely used in steel rolling mills, bar mills, wire rod mills, and section mills due to their high durability, dimensional stability, and reduced downtime. The combination of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum alloys enhances operational efficiency and ensures long service life under heavy industrial working conditions.

Our provided Adamite Roll has special hyper-eutectoid steel rolls alloyed with Nickel, Chromium & Molybdenum. And the extra Carbon and special alloys gives extra wear resistance and strength to this roll. This statically cast roll undergoes a special high temperature heat treatment process of double annealing and after that tempering cycles to give a micro structure consisting of fine pearlitic matrix with spherodised / broken carbide. It is used for roughing stands of strip mill. Clients can avail this Adamite Roll from us at marginal rates.

Features of Adamite Roll :

  • It is suitable for rolling medium and heavy sections.
  • It is stronger than cast iron rolls and harder than other steel rolls.
  • Section finishing, wire rod intermediate rolling

Tailored Engineering for Demanding Applications

Adamite Rolls are meticulously designed to endure the rigorous environment of steel rolling and section mills. Each roll offers customizable belt widths and diameters (ranging from 150 mm to 700 mm), enabling them to fit seamlessly in a variety of high-capacity and continuous rolling operations. The rolls are shipped in robust packaging and manufactured to IS: 5510 or ASTM A956 standards-or as per customer demand.

Precision Manufacturing Process & Materials

Using Adamite alloy steel, these rolls are produced via centrifugal and static casting for optimal structure. They are heat treated-normalized and tempered-for balanced hardness and resilience. The final machining or grinding stage ensures tight tolerances (+/- 0.1 mm on diameter) and superior finished surfaces, ready for direct integration into industrial rolling mills.

FAQ's of Adamite Roll:

Q: How are Adamite Rolls used in steel rolling mills?

A: Adamite Rolls are installed in steel rolling, section, and bar mills, where they facilitate the continuous shaping and reduction of metal profiles, bars, and structural components. Their high load-bearing design and superior wear resistance make them ideal for withstanding the rigorous forces of rolling operations.

Q: What benefits do Adamite Rolls offer compared to traditional rolls?

A: Adamite Rolls deliver enhanced wear resistance, greater strength, and uniform hardness throughout their structure. This results in longer service life, reduced downtime due to roll changes, and consistent product quality-making them highly cost-effective for steel mill operations.

Q: When should Adamite Rolls be selected over other roll materials?

A: Adamite Rolls are the preferred choice when high durability, excellent resistance to thermal cracking, and uniform hardness are essential, particularly in mills that experience heavy loads and continuous rolling. Their customizable features also make them versatile for specific industrial requirements.

Q: Where can the rolls be customized for fitting and dimensions?

A: Customization is available directly from the distributor, manufacturer, or supplier. Rolls can be tailored for diameter, length (up to 4000 mm), belt width, and fittings (such as spindles or keys) to suit any mill specification and operational needs.

Q: What is the process involved in manufacturing Adamite Rolls?

A: The manufacturing process involves either centrifugal or static casting with Adamite alloy steel, followed by normalization and tempering heat treatments. This is completed with precision machining or grinding to meet specified tolerances and desired surface finishes, ensuring the rolls meet strict quality standards.

Q: How are Adamite Rolls packaged and delivered to customers?

A: Each roll is securely packed in seaworthy wooden boxes or as specified by the client to ensure safe delivery. This packaging method safeguards rolls from corrosion and mechanical damage during transportation, making them suitable for export and industrial supply.

Q: What are the main usage advantages of Adamite Rolls in industrial settings?

A: Using Adamite Rolls allows industrial mills to maintain consistent production with less frequent roll changes, thanks to their high durability and resistance to wear and deformation. This enhances operational efficiency, product consistency, and reduces maintenance costs over time.
